I’m one of those people who answer my phone, pretty much 24-7 for my business (that’s how I make money and keep the doors open), but most especially for the students of my apostille certification course. 

The conversations I have vary, but there’s a lion’s share from graduates that are terrified to process their first apostille. 

They’re paralyzed by fear of the unknown. 

Maybe you can relate to this. I know I did when I first started. 

But…

Then we need to talk, heart to heart. 

Because that quiet little fear is eating your business, your hopes, your dreams, your confidence,  alive.

I know it well. 

That fear whispered to me too when I took my very first call, when I processed my very first apostille, and when I popped straight up in bed at 2:14 AM convinced I had screwed something up. (Luckily, I hadn’t-that time. Yep, even I make mistakes sometimes)

You see, I wasn’t born the Queen of Apostilles. No sparkly crown or magic wand here. I earned it.

By doing it scared.

By figuring it out.

By messing up, making it right, and doing it again.

I’m not saying it was easy. I’m saying it was worth it.

I want that exact same growth for you. But you can’t wait until you feel ready. Because ready doesn’t come until after you’ve started.

So this week, I’m challenging you with an exercise straight from our book, “Your Passport to Apostilles.” (And, of course, we included this in the World of Apostilles course too)

Here’s what I want you to do: Be Your Own Client.

Yup. Process your own apostilles.

Pay for the copies, the processing fees, the shipping. Navigate the confusion. Make the calls. Ship the documents. 

Live the experience your clients will go through.

Here's what to do:

• Get a certified copy of your birth certificate and apostille it for a country of your choice (go wild-pick one you’d love to visit).
  
  
• Then, create a notarized Power of Attorney (or another document-doesn’t matter), have it notarized, and process that too, but for a different country. Hague or non-Hague? You decide!

Yes, it’s going to feel confusing. That’s the point. There’s power in that confusion.

You’ll come out the other side more confident, more competent, and more you. That’s how this works. 

You don’t wait to become an expert. You become one by doing the work.

So take the call. Return the message. Send the invoice.

Even if you’re scared. Even if you’re not sure.

Because the Queen of Apostilles wasn’t sure either, AND she just did it anyway.
